Therapy

At Wisdom Psychology, we work with adults who may look capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed, burned out, anxious, disconnected, or stuck underneath. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, or a major life transition, therapy can help you understand what is happening and move beyond simply coping. We have particular expertise supporting adults with ADHD, autism, and AuDHD, including those who are discovering this later in life and beginning to make sense of experiences that never quite fit the expected mould. Our approach combines acceptance with meaningful change helping you understand yourself without shame, develop practical strategies, strengthen self-advocacy, and create a life that works for you.

The way your brain works can affect relationships, communication, parenting, work, friendships, and everyday life in ways that others may not always understand. You may have spent years adapting, masking, overthinking, or trying to keep up, leaving you exhausted despite knowing yourself well. At Wisdom Psychology, we help you identify the patterns and experiences keeping you stuck and find practical ways forward. We support relationship challenges, parenting differences, social connection, burnout, and trauma, including support following motor vehicle accidents. Using evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), solution-focused and trauma-informed care, we’ll work with you to create meaningful change while respecting your needs, choices, and pace.

Chez Wisdom Psychology, nous croyons au pouvoir transformateur des évaluations axées sur les forces. Notre mission est d'accompagner les familles en leur apportant clarté et réponses concrètes, sources d'autonomie et d'aide précieuse.

What makes us different

Therapy and assessment does not have to look a certain way for you to belong here.

You are welcome to stim, move around, sit differently, use a fidget, take breaks, look away, bring something that helps you regulate, or communicate in whatever way feels most natural to you. If speaking is difficult, we can find other ways to help you express what you need. If traditional therapy structures create stress, we can modify them.

We can work with your needs around scheduling, communication, sensory comfort, movement, and the way you participate in sessions. You do not have to hide or manage your neurodivergence or trauma symptoms to make therapy more comfortable for someone else.

Our goal is to create a predictable, flexible and accepting space where you can show up as you are including the parts of you that may have been misunderstood or judged elsewhere. Your needs are not unusual here, and you will be met with acceptance, respect and curiosity rather than judgment.
